Matt Van Dyke

Matt is a CPA with experience in fund-raising, tax strategy, M&A, and growth of technology companies. Matt started his career at PwC in the Salt Lake City office. While at PwC, he specialized in preparation and planning of complex individual and business tax issues.
Following PwC, Matt joined Novatek, Inc. as CFO. During his tenure at Novatek he oversaw and led all accounting and finance functions. He led and participated in various critical software and structural changes within the organization. Matt was able to effectively leverage his tax background in implementing various tax strategies that created millions of dollars of realized value. He played a pivotal role in the successful exits of subsidiaries and the ultimate sale of Novatek itself in 2015. After the sale of Novatek, Matt became CFO of Hall Labs and Hall Venture Partners. During his role he has helped various portfolio companies through their infancy to high-growth stages. Matt has led various expansion efforts including campus expansion, buy-side and sell-side M&A, financing and investment activities in excess of $100M and strategic partnerships. Matt holds a Master’s degree in accountancy from Brigham Young University. |
